In Ladakh the first case of corona virus was recorded in March 2020.
During this period, the state run SNM Hospital was overwhelmed as the Covid suspected cases were rising in Ladakh.
In this view, the Health Department of Leh reached out to our Director Lama Chogyal and asked his help in setting up isolation wards at Heart Foundation Hospital. So in order to combat Covid 19 our organization has closed all operations and the crucial works have been suspended.
We are cooperating with the Health Department of leh and contributing to society by facilitating our free LHF Hospital services to the people of this region.
The suspected cases are in isolation wards at LHF. once a patient tests positive, they are shifted to a Covid dedicated Hospital for treatment.
We have also been providing snacks and refreshments to the frontline workers-healthcare workers, security personnel, cleaners and others who have been carrying out their duties with selflessly to save people while risking their own lives,
